KARACHI: Pakistan spinner Usman Tariq has left for England to participate in upcoming English assignments including Vitality Blast 2026 and the sixth edition of The Hundred tournament series.

Tariq was signed by Warwickshire Bears for the ninth edition of the T20 Blast scheduled to start this summer season on May 22.

According to the club, the 30-year-old spinner had opportunities to play franchise cricket in various global leagues, but won the race to secure his services, eventually securing the services.

As a result, Tariq will spend most of England’s summer at the Edgbaston Stadium. His first Vitality Blast stint saw him signed for £140,000 in March’s player draft for the season following The Hundred campaign with Birmingham Phoenix.

Recently, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued No-Restriction Certificates (NOCs) to several national cricketers to participate in county cricket and Vitality Blast throughout the England quota period in the 2026 season.

Fast bowler Hasan Ali has been given NOC to represent Yorkshire County Cricket Club, while Mohammad Ali Usman Tariq and Faheem Ashraf have received NOCs for the Vitality Blast tournament.

Meanwhile, the PCB has extended pacer Mohammad Abbas’s NOC to continue representing Derbyshire County Cricket Club.

It is pertinent to mention that the upcoming edition of Vitality Blast will take on Essex Sussex on May 22 and continue till July 18 fixture schedule.

For the uninitiated, Hundred 2026 is a month-long tournament that will be held from July 21 to August 16, with MI taking on London Sunrisers Leeds in the opening match at The Oval.
