LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the team of match officials for the Pakistan vs Zimbabwe Women’s series to be held from May 4 to 15 at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi.

The six-match white-ball tour includes three One-Day Internationals (ODIs), followed by three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

The ODI leg is part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29, which makes the series significant in terms of qualification paths and rankings.

Sri Lanka’s Nimali Perera has been appointed as the on-field umpire for all six matches, underscoring his experience and consistency at the international level.

He will be supported by a team of PCB-appointed officials including Zulfiqar John, Tariq Rashid, Salima Imtiaz, Faisal Afridi and Naseer Hussain who will rotate through on-field, third umpire and reserve roles throughout the series.

Humaira Farah has been appointed as the reserve umpire for ODIs. Meanwhile, Kamran Chowdhury, who was recently inducted into the PCB’s panel of international match referees, will oversee the ODI series. Ali Naqvi will serve as the umpire for the T20 tournament.

Perera and Zulfiqar John will be the on-field umpires for the opening ODI on May 4, with Tariq Rashid as the third umpire. The series will conclude on May 15 with the third T20I where Perera and Salima Imtiaz will take the field.

The three T20 matches will be crucial preparation for Pakistan ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.

Ahead of the global tournament, the hosts and West Indies will also participate in a T20I tri-series in Ireland, with matches scheduled from May 28 to June 4.
