KARACHI: The upcoming edition of President Cup Grade I will run from December 28 to February 12, with all 29 matches scheduled to be held at five venues here, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Saturday.
Ghani Glass, Khan Research Laboratories (KRL), Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGTCL), Sahir Associates, State Bank of Pakistan (SBB), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGTPL), Water and Power Development (ABPL) totaled eight in the first-class competition. Teams will participate.
The tournament will be played in eight rounds, each consisting of four matches, and after the league stage, the top two teams will qualify for the finals.
The league-level matches of the tournament will be played across five venues: KCCA Stadium, National Bank Stadium, NPP Sports Complex, SBB Sports Complex and UPL Sports Complex.
The venue for the five-day finals from February 8 to 12 will be announced in due course.
PTV will enter the tournament as defending champions and will begin their campaign against last edition’s runners-up SBP at the SBP Sports Complex here.
