The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) has confirmed that matches will be held at Arnos Vale Stadium for the first time, with the 2026 season scheduled to begin on August 7.
In a record-breaking expansion, the tournament will be played in eight countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.
“Expanding into new territories is an important part of our vision,” Pete Russell said in an official statement.
Russell described the Arnos Vale stadium, which hosted 36 men’s internationals and five matches during the 2024 T20 World Cup – where spin proved decisive – as a “fantastic venue with a proud cricketing history”.
He said the league was keen to experience the passion and atmosphere of local supporters.
The tournament will run until September 20 and Jamaica will have the seventh franchise for the first time with the Kingsmen joining the tournament.
The schedule will overlap with The Hundred in England, affecting the availability of players such as Nicholas Buren and Sherfan Rutherford in the later stages.
Although the full fixture list is yet to be announced, four play-off matches, including an eliminator, two qualifiers and the final, will be played from September 16 to 20 at Kensington Oval.
Confirmed fixtures at Arnos Vale will feature five teams:
