RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday announced the star commentary team for the three-match ODI series between Pakistan and Australia scheduled from May 30 to June 4.

The group includes former Test captains Amir Sohail and Ramiz Raja, former Test cricketer Basit Khan and former Pakistan women’s captain Uruj Mumtaz.

Former Australian Test batsman Greg Blewett will also join the broadcast team.

Zainab Abbas will host PCB’s Pitchside Studio during pre- and post-match coverage for all three ODIs.

Australia and Pakistan have met 111 times in ODI cricket, with the third-ranked Australians having a clear advantage in the competition.

Australia has won 71 of these matches while Pakistan has won 36 times. Three matches were inconclusive and one ended in a tie.

However, in recent bilateral ODI series, the contest has been more even. Both the teams have won the series 2-1 in the last two meetings.

Australia last toured Pakistan in 2022, where the Green Shirts won the domestic ODI series 2-1. Pakistan defeated Australia again by the same margin during a three-match 50-over series on Australian soil in 2024.

The pace of the wider white-ball contest also saw changes with Pakistan’s 3-0 win over Australia in the T20I series in Lahore earlier this year, underscoring the increasingly competitive nature of the competition in recent encounters.
