
LAHORE: Defending champions Lahore Qalandars continued their winning streak by defeating Quetta Gladiators by nine runs in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Match 11 at the Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday.
The win saw the Qalandars climb two places to fourth in the revamped PSL standings with 11 points from sixth. They now have four wins and four losses from eight matches, collecting eight points with a net run-rate of -0.503.
Quetta Gladiators, meanwhile, are fifth with three wins and six losses from nine matches. They have six points and a net run-rate of -0.355, still keeping their slim qualification hopes alive.
Peshawar Zalmi continue to top the table with 15 points and an impressive net run-rate of 2.911, with seven wins, a loss and a draw from eight matches.
Multan Sultans are second with 10 points with a net run rate of 0.529 from seven matches with five wins and two losses.

In the game, Glanders elected to bat first and Faqar Zaman took full advantage of the decision as he produced a sensational innings to record his third PSL century.
He scored 103 runs off 51 balls with 11 fours and 6 sixes to help his team amass 197-6 in 20 overs.
Sarith Asalanga provided solid support with a 24-ball 31 including 3 fours and a six.
In reply, Quetta Gladiators fell short, finishing at 188-7 despite struggling half-centuries from Riley Roseau and Shamil Hussain, with a late contribution from Abrar Ahmed.
Rossov scored 62 off 29 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes while Shamil scored 53 off 31 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Abrar remained unbeaten on 24 off 14 balls with 5 fours but could not lead his team to victory.
