LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced separate red-ball and white-ball training camps at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), with a total of 49 players to participate as part of preparations for upcoming international and domestic assignments.
The NCA Red-Ball camp will begin on June 8 and continue till July 10, with 22 players participating. Those selected for the camp who participated in Pakistan’s ODI series against Australia recently will join from June 15.
Meanwhile, the NCA white-ball camp will be held from June 15 to September 18, with 27 players included in the programme.
Both the camps are designed to prepare the players for future international and domestic competitions.
During the camps, participants will work closely with national and NCA coaches and PCB medical staff to improve their skills, fitness and overall development.
Players will participate in one-on-one sessions with coaches to better understand the technical and fitness standards required at the international level.
The NCA recently held separate red-ball and white-ball camps ahead of Pakistan’s Test tour of Bangladesh and the three-match ODI series against Australia.
Pakistan are currently enjoying a break of more than 50 days from international cricket following their third consecutive ODI series win against Australia. The Green Shirts sealed the series with a four-wicket win in the third and final ODI in a low-scoring match.
Pakistan will return to international action with a two-match Test series against the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago. The tournaments are scheduled to be held from July 25-29 and August 2-6 respectively.
