LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the 16-man squad for the two-match Test series against the Bangladesh national cricket team in Bangladesh next month.

Forming part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27, the series will begin with the first Test at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from May 8 to 12.

The second Test is scheduled to be played from May 16 to 20 at the Sylhet International Cricket Ground.

Shaun Masood will continue as captain, while four uncapped players – Abdullah Fazal, Amat Butt, Azan Awais and Muhammad Qazi Ghori – have received a call-up to the national team.

Five players in the squad – Azaan Awais, Imam-ul-Haq, Muhammad Qazi Ghori, Noman Ali and Sajid Khan – are currently participating in the ongoing NCA red-ball camp in Lahore as part of preparations for the series.

The team will gather in Karachi on April 27 for a training camp, which will continue till May 1. The team is scheduled to leave for Bangladesh on May 2.

The players involved in the ongoing Pakistan Super League season will join the camp after their respective teams complete their campaigns. The finalists will go directly to Bangladesh at the end of the tournament.
