
Nottingham: The 15-member Pakistan squad arrived here on Friday to participate in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 to be held in England and Wales from June 12 to July 5.
According to details, after a winless T20I tri-series campaign in Ireland, which West Indies won, Pakistan embarked on a short journey from Dublin to arrive here on Friday afternoon.
Upon arrival, the Pakistan team, led by all-rounder Fatima Sana, will enjoy a rest day before returning to their T20 World Cup practice match against Sri Lanka in a derby on Saturday.
Following their first practice match, Pakistan will have a practice session at the County Ground in Derby on Sunday, where they will play their second practice match for the mega event against Scotland on Monday.
The Green Shirts, who are placed in Group 1, will formally begin their T20 World Cup campaign by taking on arch-rivals India at Edgbaston in Birmingham on June 14, before taking on South Africa on June 17.
They will then travel to Southampton where they will face Bangladesh on June 20, with the remaining two group-stage games scheduled against Australia in Leeds and the Netherlands on June 23 and 27 in Bristol respectively.
