The Pakistan Women’s National Cricket Team has featured in every edition of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup since its inception in 2009.
However, despite consistent participation, the team did not advance beyond the group stage.
Sana Mir led the team in the first five editions from 2009 to 2016, with Pakistan exiting at the group stage on each occasion. Javeria Khan captained the team in 2018 but the result remained the same.
The trend continued under Bisma Maruf, who led the team in the 2020 and 2023 editions, while Fatima Sana, in her first stint as captain, also saw Pakistan bow out in the group stage in 2024.
