
Pakistan off-spinner Noman Ali has equaled Australia’s premier pacer Mitchell Starc in the latest ICC Test bowler rankings to reach a career high with both scoring 843 points.
India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues to remain at number one.
Noman has had an exceptional year in the red-ball format, picking up 30 wickets in four matches at an average of 17.50 and an economy rate of 3.40.
His record includes three five-wicket hauls and two ten-wicket tournament performances.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has slipped one place to 24th, Mohammad Abbas to 28th and Sajid Khan to 29th with 590 points.
Spinner Abrar Ahmed moved up one place to 50th with 401 points. Fast bowlers Khurram Shahzad and Amir Jamal retain the 70th and 78th positions respectively, while spinner Asif Afridi is ranked 95th with 224 points.
In the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings, South’s Shakeel has climbed to ninth place with 734 points and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan to 21st.
Star batsman Babar Azam is 23rd and all-rounder Salman Ali Agha is 27th with 630 points.
Test captain Shaun Masood is ranked 44th, Imam-ul-Haq is ranked 51st, Abdullah Shafiq is ranked 56th and Kamran Ghulam is ranked 85th. Amir Jamal and Saim Ayub shared the 95th position.
England’s Joe Root continues to dominate the number one Test batsman rankings, with teammate Harry Brooke climbing three places to second and New Zealand’s Kane Williamson third.
