DUBAI: Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan and former captain Babar Azam have climbed the ICC’s latest Test batting rankings following a revamped ranking.

In the Test batting rankings, Rizwan and Babar moved up one place each to 20th and 21st respectively. Middle-order batsmen Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Agha retain their positions and remain at the 25th and 27th positions in the rankings.

Pakistan Test captain Shaun Masood slips one place to 44th with 558 rating points, while opener Imam-ul-Haq remains at 52nd with 522 points.

Abdullah Shafiq, who last appeared in Test cricket in 2025 against South Africa, moved up one place to 54th with 517 points. Meanwhile, youngster Abdullah Fazal slipped one place to 97th.

England duo Joe Root and Harry Brook continue to lead the Test batting charts, with Root at number one and Brook at number two. Australia’s Travis Head remains third.

In the Test bowling rankings, Pakistan spinner Noman Ali retained the seventh position with 817 rating points. Fast bowlers Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Abbas both moved up one place to 25th and 27th respectively.

Spinner Sajid Khan is at the 31st position, Hasan Ali is at the 38th position and Khurram Shahzad is at the 46th position. Off-spinner Asif Afridi and all-rounder Salman Ali Agha slipped two and one places to 83rd and 90th respectively.

India’s Jasprit Bumrah remains at the top of the Test bowling rankings. Australia’s Mitchell Starc is second and Australia captain Pat Cummins has moved up to third ahead of New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry.
