KARACHI: Peshawar Zalmi’s wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Haris completed his 1000 runs during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) run against Multan Sultans at the National Bank Stadium here.

Haris, who entered the top-of-the-table clash with 981 runs in the ongoing PSL 11, reached the milestone when he hit Sultans’ Mohammad Nawaz for a six in the fifth ball of the third over of Zalmi’s innings.

As a result, Harris became the 31st player in Marquee League history to break the thousand-run barrier, joining Babar Azam, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez and Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Harris was eventually dismissed by veteran fast bowler Peter Siddle in the fifth over and went on to score 40 off 17 balls with 4 sixes and 3 fours.
