Chasing a tough 172-run target, the Scorchers could only amass 155/7 in their allotted overs, giving their GSL 2026 campaign a rough start.
Usman Khan remained the top scorer for the Scorchers with a gutsy 41 off 32 balls with 3 fours and 2 sixes, followed by veteran opener Andre Fletcher’s 35 off 22 balls.
All-rounder Dion Forrester was the other notable run-scorer for the Scorchers with 23 off 21 balls.
Usama Mir and Imran combined to overwhelm the Lahore Qalandars’ bowling with two wickets, but the latter was more frugal as he conceded just 18 runs in his four overs, while the leg-spinner conceded 35 runs. On the other hand, Ali Shabbir and Captain Bracewell bagged a scalp each.
