KARACHI: 2020 champions Karachi Kings have secured the services of England top-order batsman Jason Roy for the remainder of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11.
The franchise made the announcement through its official social media handles by sharing a graphic banner of the right-handed opener, who has represented England in five Tests, 116 ODIs and 64 T20Is.
Roy has been included in the Kings squad as a replacement for United Arab Emirates (UAE) opposite Muhammad Wasim, further sharing the franchise.
“Welcome England’s devastating opener Jason Roy (to the Kings). He joins the squad as a replacement for Muhammad Wasim,” Kings captioned the post.
According to sources, Kings have released UAE pair Wasim and Quzaima Tanveer from the squad due to their national commitments and the latter’s replacement is expected to be announced soon.
