Dubai: The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 has crossed the 125,000 attendance mark, highlighting the growing popularity of women’s cricket and the tournament’s record success across the United Kingdom.

The milestone was achieved during the ongoing group stage match between India and Bangladesh which saw a crowd of 4,129. The tournament has now become the highest selling series in the history of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

The feat follows a historic opening weekend that drew 44,844 fans over the first three days of the tournament.

The much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan set a new record for the highest attendance for a group-stage match in the history of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

In addition to packed stadiums, the event has generated record broadcast audiences and digital engagement, helping the tournament reach fans around the world while further raising the profile of women’s cricket.

ICC Chief Executive Sanchok Gupta welcomed the achievement and described it as a significant moment for both the tournament and the women’s game.

“Exceeding 125,000 in-stadia attendees is a landmark moment not only for this event but for women’s sport as a whole,” said Gupta.

“These crowds sit alongside record-breaking broadcast and digital figures and represent an irreversible shift in the creative, commercial and cultural status of ICC women’s events.”

Since kicking off on June 12, the tournament has provided thrilling fixtures in Bristol, Leeds, Southampton, Manchester and Birmingham. As the group stage enters its final phase, the competition for the knockouts is now intensifying.
