
London: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a world-class, women-led commentary panel for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, highlighting the expertise, experience and influence that will continue to grow women’s cricket around the world.
The commentary team brings together ICC World Cup winners, former international captains, renowned broadcasters and some of the most respected voices in cricket.
They will provide expert analysis, insight and storytelling on all 33 matches of the tournament, which starts with hosts England taking on Sri Lanka on June 12 and concludes with the final at Lord’s on July 5.
The line-up includes many former World Cup winners with first-hand experience of winning on cricket’s biggest stage.
Mel Jones and Julia Price were members of Australia’s successful ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup winning team, while Stacey-Ann King was part of the West Indies team that won the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup title.
England’s Isa Guha and Ebony Rainford-Brent also enjoyed World Cup success, being members of England’s team that won the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup and the team that won the inaugural ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in 2009, the last time the tournament was held in England.
The team also includes famous figures from men’s sports. Matthew Hayden is a two-time ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup winner, while Dinesh Karthik and Carlos Brathwaite are ICC Men’s T20 World Cup champions with India and West Indies respectively.
Some of the most recognizable voices in modern cricket broadcasting include Nasser Hussain, Ian Bishop and Ian Smith. The trio, who were part of the memorable commentary team during the dramatic ICC Men’s World Cup 2019 final at Lord’s, will reunite for another big global event in England.
They will be joined by former captains and international stars Mithali Raj, Tash Farrant, Anjum Chopra, Simon Towle, Veda Krishnamurthy, Sana Mir, Isobel Joyce and Katie Martin.
The broadcast team is further strengthened by anchors and commentators Charles Dognall, Natalie Germanos, Alan Wilkins, Laura McGoldrick, Jatin Sapru, Kass Naidoo, Raunak Kapoor and Ali Mitchell.
All of them have been instrumental in covering some of cricket’s most memorable moments and will bring their trademark energetic insight and storytelling to viewers throughout the tournament.
