
LAHORE: Left-handed batsman Faqar Zaman broke several records on Tuesday with a stunning century in Lahore Qalandars’ Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 clash against Quetta Gladiators at the Gaddafi Stadium.
Gulanders, who batted first, scored 197-6 in 20 overs thanks to Fakhar’s magnificent innings. He scored his third PSL century, scoring 103 runs off 51 balls including 11 fours and 6 sixes.
Sarith Asalanga added 31 runs off 24 balls with 3 fours and a six, while Daniel Sams scored 18 runs off 12 balls with 2 fours and a six.
Fakhar’s performance with three PSL centuries has put him in an elite group of batsmen alongside Usman Khan, Kamran Akmal, Riley Roseau and Babar Azam.
Additionally, he became the first batsman to score 1,000 PSL runs in Lahore, underlining his dominance at the venue. Babar Azam is second on the list with 784 runs.
The Qalandars’ innings was built on aggressive intent, with Fakhar anchoring the top order and pacing through the middle overs to set up a formidable score against the Gladiators.
Zaman is second in the all-time PSL run-scorers list with 3,246 runs in 103 matches at a strike rate of 143.43. His tally included 25 fifties and three centuries.
