Sylhet: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the 15-man squad for the second and final Test of the series against Pakistan, starting on May 16 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium as part of the 2025-27 ICC World Test Championship cycle.

They have opted to retain the same line-up that featured in the series opener at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium for the sequel.

Najmul Hossain Santo will continue as the captain while Mehidi Hasan Miraz has been appointed as the vice-captain for the series.

The squad consists of two uncapped players Dansid Hasan and Amit Hasan.

Having played 34 ODIs and 45 T20Is for Bangladesh and scored over 1,900 runs in both formats, Tansit Hasan has already established himself in white-ball cricket. He will look to translate his limited overs success to the Test arena.

Amit Hasan, a 24-year-old middle-order batsman, gets his first call-up after a consistent performance in domestic cricket. Since his first-class debut in 2019, he has maintained an average of 49.

Bangladesh are currently eighth in the World Test Championship rankings, having recorded one defeat and one draw in their opening two Tests. They have four points with a win percentage of 16.67.

Meanwhile, Pakistan are fifth in the standings with one win and one loss from their first two matches, amassing 12 points with a win percentage of 50.
