Dharuba: Babar Azam-led Pakistan Test team arrived in West Indies on Wednesday ahead of the two-match Test series from July 25 to August 6.

Traveling from Islamabad via Doha and London, the national side reached Trinidad and Tobago. Pakistan will now begin their final preparations with a four-day training session ahead of the Test series.

Ahead of their departure, the team completed an intensive three-day training camp at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and also featured in a two-day situation-based tournament to fine-tune their preparations.

Pakistan will play a four-day practice match from July 18 to 21 before starting the two-match ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2025–27 series.

The first Test will be played from July 25 to 29 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Taruba, while the second Test will be played at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain from August 2 to 6.

The upcoming tour marks Pakistan’s first red-ball assignment in the Caribbean since 2021, when the two teams drew the two-match Test series 1-1.

Historically, Pakistan have enjoyed a slight advantage over the West Indies in the long format. The two teams have met in 54 Test matches, with Pakistan winning 21 matches compared to the West Indies’ 19, while 14 of the encounters have ended in draws.

Pakistan currently have one win in the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 standings and have three defeats in four matches to finish last. They have collected four points with a points percentage (PCT) of 8.33.
