
Leicester: An unbeaten innings from George Munsey, aggressive bowling from Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Ali helped Nottinghamshire to a 74-run win over Leicestershire in the Vitality Blast 2026 encounter at Grace Road on Sunday.
Chasing 210, Leicestershire were bowled out for 135 in 17.5 overs thanks to a brilliant display from pacers Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Ali.
Opener Rehan Ahmed scored 45 off 23 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes, while Ben Mike scored 39 off 24 balls including a four and 3 sixes as the rest of the batsmen failed to make meaningful contributions.
Mohammad Ali led the bowling for Nottinghamshire with figures of 3/20 in 3.5 overs, while Mohammad Amir and Ollie Stone claimed two wickets each. George Linde, Benny Howell and Liam Patterson-White took one wicket each.
Earlier, battling half-centuries from George Munsey and George Linde, Nottinghamshire amassed 209-4 in the allotted 20 overs thanks to valuable contributions from captain Joe Clarke and Tom Moores.
Muncy scored an unbeaten 75 off 52 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes while Linde scored 55 off 22 balls including 5 fours and 4 sixes.
Opener Clarke scored 42 off 22 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes, while Moores added 21 off 20 balls with 3 fours.
