Form Guide

Australia and Sri Lanka are unbeaten after their first two T20 World Cup 2026 matches, with Australia and Sri Lanka entering the Group B match with contrasting momentum as the 2021 champions suffered defeat at the hands of Zimbabwe after a successful start against Ireland.

Sri Lanka top the Group B points table with four points from two matches, just ahead of second-placed Zimbabwe thanks to their superior net run rate. Australia, on the other hand, are third with two points.

The upcoming match, as a result, is a must-win for Australia as a defeat leaves them hanging on the outcome of the rest of the Group B matches.
