
Dubai: Pakistan’s opener Sahibzada Farhan and off-spinner Usman Tariq have climbed the ranks in the latest ICC Men’s T20 World Cup with impressive performances in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Farhan moved up two places to become the third-ranked batsman in the T20I batsmen’s rankings.
He is now closing in on second-placed Bill Salt of England. India’s Abhishek Sharma continues to top the rankings despite modest form in the tournament so far.
However, several Pakistani batsmen have slipped up the scoresheet.
Opener Saim Ayub slipped three places to 34th and Babar Azam slipped one place to 36th. Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha has slipped one place to 38th and Faqar Zaman is at 88th.
In the T20I bowlers rankings, spinner Abrar Ahmed has slipped two places from third to fifth with 712 rating points. Mohammad Nawaz slipped three places to 12th.
Among the fast bowlers, Salman Mirza has moved up one place to 18th and Shaheen Afridi has moved up 4 places to 31st.
Usman Tariq has moved up 59 places to rank 55th. Off-spinner Subian Mukeem slipped 10 places to 60th, while all-rounder Shadab Khan moved up 10 places to 65th.
In the bowlers’ list, Saim Ayub has slipped 11 places to 66th, and pacer Haris Rauf has slipped 5 places to 81st.
India’s Varun Chakraborty remains at the top of the T20 bowler rankings, followed by Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan at the second spot.
Third place has seen a big change as South Africa’s Corbin Bosch moves up 21 places to take the place.
In the ICC T20I All-Rounders Rankings, Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza regained the top spot, pipping Pakistan’s Saim Ayub to the second spot, while India’s Hardik Pandya retained the third spot.
Mohammad Nawaz slipped two places to ninth, Shadab Khan moved up four places to 21st, Faheem Ashraf and Salman Ali Agha slipped two places to 52nd and 53rd respectively.
Shaheen Afridi has also moved up four places to 63rd.
