The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) today released the list of match officials for the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The tournament will be held in Lahore and Karachi from March 26 to May 3 with 44 matches.

Sir Richie Richardson, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will make his PSL debut as a match referee.

The former West Indies captain has previously umpired four Tests and three Twenty20 Internationals in Pakistan between 2017 and 2024, including a three-match T20I series between Pakistan and World XI at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

It will feature a strong foreign umpire panel comprising four members of the ICC Elite Panel: Ahsan Raza (Pakistan), Christopher Gaffane (New Zealand), Allahuddin Balekar (South Africa) and Alexander Wharf (England). They will be joined by Sharbuthullah Saikat and Chris Brown.

Both Balekar and Saigad are making their PSL debuts. The list of domestic umpires includes Asif Yakub, Rashid Riaz, Faisal Khan Afridi, Naseer Hussain, Zulfiqar John, Abdul Mukeed, Alai Haider, Imran Javed and Tariq Rashid.

Roshan Mahanama, a regular match referee in the PSL since 2017, will return to extend his record of 71 matches in the competition.

He will lead the playing control team, starting with the opening match between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kings.

In the opening match, Alex Wharf and Ahsan Raza will serve as the on-field umpires, Asif Yaqoob as the TV umpire and Tariq Rashid as the fourth umpire.
