LAHORE: 2021 champions Multan Sultans have won the toss and elected to field first against Quetta Gladiators in Pakistan Super League (PSL) 13th match of 11 at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators have met 15 times in the marquee league, and the former hold the head-to-head record with nine wins, while the 2019 champions have six to their name.

Their last meeting came in the landmark 10th edition of the PSL, in which the Gladiators won by two wickets. Earlier in the tournament, Gladiators recorded a perfect win against Sultans by 10 wickets.

Form Guide

Both the teams enter the match but Sultans are on a similar pace with two wins in the first three matches of PSL 11, while the Gladiators have tasted victory once in as many games so far.

The Gladiators got off to a rough start to their campaign with a 14-run defeat against the Karachi Kings. The former champions crushed rock-bottom Hyderabad Kingsmen to record their first win before going down to an 8-wicket defeat against Islamabad United.

Sultans, on the other hand, started their campaign with a bang by beating United and Kingsmen in their first two games, but could not extend their winning streak as they lost the match against defending champions Lahore Qalandars by 20 runs.
