KARACHI: The much-awaited trophy tour of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 kicked off here on Sunday, sparking excitement among eager fans as the tournament enters a new era with the addition of two new teams.

According to details, the PSL 11 trophy tour was formally launched earlier today when it made its “first stop” at the Quaid-e-Azam mausoleum, where a special photoshoot of the silverware was also done.

The trophy, named “Infinity”, will now be taken to Hyderabad on Friday, where it is scheduled to be displayed at the Niaz Stadium and at various locations across the city.

The PSL 11 trophy will also be taken to other major cities of the country as part of its promotional tour.

For the uninitiated, the shiny silverware was unveiled Wednesday at National Bank Stadium, while the marquee league shared a first look at the silverware by posting a 47-second video on its social media platforms, showing the crafting process.

The cup has a sleek and modern design, with a tall, elegant golden frame that rises from a circular base.

The central body is decorated with shiny stones or crystals arranged in vertical patterns, giving the cup a shiny appearance when illuminated. Two curved golden arms extend upward from the sides and meet at the top.

The top of the cup features a striking crescent and star, a design element inspired by the crescent and star of the national flag of Pakistan.

The crescent is encrusted with tiny crystals, while a shiny metallic star sits just above it, creating a symbolic and visually striking crown.

The base of the cup is gold plated and mounted on a black cylindrical plinth displaying the PSL branding.

The historic 11th edition of the marquee league will see eight teams, including two new teams Bintis and Hyderabad Kingsmen, compete in 44 matches from March 26 to May 3.

PSL 11 kicks off on March 26 with Hyderabad taking on Houston Kingsmen at home against defending champions Lahore Qalandars.
