LAHORE: Tickets for the much-awaited Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11 will go on sale from March 17, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Monday.
According to details, fans can buy tickets online from Tuesday through the website of the private courier service appointed as the official ticket partner for the match.
For the first time in the history of PSL, matches will be played at six different stadiums. Eight teams compete for the coveted title in this expanded edition.
PSL 11 is set to begin on March 26 in Lahore, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars taking on Hyderabad Kingsmen in the curtain raiser.
The 39-day tournament with 44 matches will be held till May 3. In addition to the existing six franchises, two new teams are being introduced this season: Pindis and Hyderabad Kingsmen.
General tickets for Karachi and Lahore stadiums are available for PKR 250 and Faisalabad Iqbal Stadium for PKR 300. The same ticket can be bought in Rawalpindi and Multan for PKR 400.
Also, PCB announced to dedicate its first PSL match at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar, with home team Peshawar Zalmi taking on debutants Bindis in an afternoon match on March 28, tickets for the VIP family box will be available at PKR 2,000.
Meanwhile, premium tickets for the afternoon match at the stadium are set at PKR 1,500, while fans can watch the action from the VIP complex for PKR 3,000. VVIP gallery tickets can be purchased for PKR 6,000.
In a statement, PSL CEO Salman Naseer shared that access to fans was given special emphasis while finalizing the ticketing strategy for the historic 11th edition in an effort to ensure cricket enthusiasts can easily buy tickets online and at “affordable” prices.
“As the HBL PSL 11 league enters its 11th year, ticket sales for HBL PSL 11 starting tomorrow marks an important milestone and ushers in a new era of growth and innovation. Over the past decade, HBL PSL has established itself as one of the most exciting T20 leagues in the world.
“While finalizing the ticketing strategy for this season, special emphasis was placed on accessibility to fans across the country. We want to ensure that supporters can easily purchase tickets through a convenient online system, while at an affordable price families and avid cricket followers can come to the stadiums and experience the game live.
“In the upcoming season of the HPL PSL, fans can expect exciting matches, traditional rivalries intensify and new rivalries begin to emerge. Every season brings new stories, new heroes and unforgettable moments, and we hope this year will be no different.”
