Karachi: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sacked Naveed Akram Seema as the manager of the men’s national cricket team for the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh.
Seema, who has served as Pakistan’s team manager several times, including the ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup in 2025, will not travel to Bangladesh after India’s refusal to shake hands with the Pakistani teams.
He was replaced by Irdasa Kumail, a Class 18 police officer who joined the cricket board two years ago and served as the national team’s security manager.
Following Kumail’s appointment as team manager, Salman Liaqat is set to wear the green shirts for the first time as security officer.
The PCB further confirmed that the team’s foreign coaching staff will join Dhaka directly, with the team scheduled to leave on March 8.
Also, before leaving for Bangladesh, the national team will participate in a two-day training camp here, ahead of their first ODI since the three-match home series against Sri Lanka in November last year.
