
LAHORE: Tickets for the upcoming 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will go on sale from tomorrow, sources said. Jio News Monday.
Fans can purchase tickets online through the website of the private courier service appointed as the official ticketing partner for the match.
For the first time in the history of PSL, matches will be played at six different stadiums. Eight teams compete for the coveted title in this expanded edition.
PSL 11 is set to begin on March 26 in Lahore, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars taking on Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen in the opening match.
The 39-day tournament with 44 matches will be played till May 3. In addition to the six original franchises, this season introduces two new teams: the Pindis and the Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen.
According to the recently published schedule, each team will play ten matches in the group stage. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs, culminating in the final on May 3 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has also designated May 4 as a reserve day for the final, if required.
This year’s PSL will feature six double-header matches, with three scheduled at the Gaddafi Stadium.
The matches will be held in six cities namely Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad and Peshawar, with Faisalabad and Peshawar hosting PSL matches for the first time.
Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore will host 15 matches, followed by Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium (11), Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad (seven), National Bank Stadium, Karachi (six) and Multan Cricket Stadium (four).
The only match will be played at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar on March 28, with home team Peshawar playing against Zalmi Bindis.
