Former Australian test captain and trainer Bob Simpson died at the age of 89.
Cricket Australia confirmed Bob Samson’s death, Bob Simpson played 62 test games from 1957 to 1978 and scored 4,869 runs, including 10 centuries.
He also made a league of Bowling and took 71 gates. It is considered one of the great slip fields in history.
Simpson withdrew from Cricket in 1968, but came back in 1977 when several Australian players joined the World Series Cricket. At the age of 41 he became the test captain and led the team.
As a trainer, Bob Simpson’s era was unforgettable. He created discipline in the Australian team under the direction of the Alan border. Then the team won the World Cup in 1987 and also made the Frank Virect Trophy with the ashes. The legendary spinner Shane Warne called him his best trainer.
He also worked as a trainer and consultant at Lancashire, the Netherlands and India next to Lancashire, the Netherlands and India.
