JOHANNESBURG: Cricket South Africa (CSA) today announced the Proteas men’s international fixtures for the 2026/27 home season in a summer packed with Test cricket and One Day Internationals (ODIs) against Australia, Bangladesh and England.

The action begins with a multi-format tour against Australia, starting with a three-match ODI series from September 24 to 30.

Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban will host the series opener on September 24 before heading domestically for the annual Pink Day fixture at the DP World Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on September 27.

The series concludes on September 30 at the JP Marks Oval in Potchefstroom.

The reigning ICC World Test champions will defend their title in a three-match Test series against Australia from October 9 to 31.

Both teams return to Durban for the first Test from October 9 to 13, before the series continues down the coast at St George’s Park in Keberha from October 18 to 22.

A trip to Cape Town will follow, with the third and final Test of the series scheduled to take place on October 27 at the World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground.

The Proteas will welcome Bangladesh for the all-format tour.

The Test team will first take center stage in a two-match series in the Highveld, with the first Test to be played at the DP World Wanderers Stadium from November 15 to 19, followed by the second Test at the Supersport Park in Centurion from November 23 to 27.

The white-ball leg of the tour begins four days later with a three-match ODI series from December 1 to 7, giving fans in East London, Keberha and Cape Town a chance to see the Proteas.

The T20 International series will be held in Kimberley, Benoni and Centurion from December 10 to 13.

Kimberley Oval is an ICC accredited ground. Earlier relocation of the Proteas Women’s fixtures allowed for necessary maintenance and repairs, which will be completed prior to the return of the International Men’s fixtures.

The international summer culminates with the three-match Test series against England.

The first Test begins at the DB World Wanderers Stadium on December 17, before the traditional Boxing Day Test at SuperSport Park and the New Year’s Test at World Sports Betting Newlands Cricket Ground.

The season concludes with a three-match ODI series against England starting at Boland Park in Paarl on January 10, with the Mangwang Oval in Bloemfontein hosting the remaining two ODIs on January 12 and 15.

The T20I series against England was dropped from this season’s calendar due to scheduling conflicts, with both sides exploring the possibility of rescheduling it at a later date.

CSA CEO, Pholetsi Moseki, stressed the importance of the upcoming international cricket season for South Africa.

He outlined that the tours to Australia, Bangladesh and England would excite fans across the country and provide opportunities for the national teams to consolidate their performances.

Moseki also emphasized that these matches play a vital role in maintaining momentum in the World Test Championship and preparing the ODI squad for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup hosted by South Africa.

“We are really looking forward to welcoming three strong cricketing nations in Australia, Bangladesh and England. These tours will undoubtedly bring fans from across the country to our stadiums. We look forward to a vibrant and competitive summer celebrating the very best of international cricket in South Africa.

“Next season holds considerable significance for our Test and ODI teams. We have made a promising start to the new World Test Championship cycle, drawing the series 1-1 against Pakistan and a stunning 2-0 win over India.

“On the white-ball front, our focus remains firmly on hosting the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2027. Every ODI series from here on out is part of our preparation for that global event, not only as proud hosts but also as a team determined to compete strongly on home soil.”
