
LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 15-man squad for the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh from March 11 to 15.
All matches will be played at Sher Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka.
Left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue to captain the ODI team while 6 unbeaten players have been included in the squad.
Abdul Samad, Mas Sadaq, Muhammad Gazi Ghori, Saad Masood, Sahibzada Farhan and Shamil Hussain are new.
Among them, Samad, Sadaq, Masood and Shamil were included in the Pakistan Shaheens squad that faced England Lions in Abu Dhabi recently.
Notably, star batsman Babar has been dropped from the Assam squad along with Faqar Zaman (hamstring injury), Haseebullah, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah and Saim Ayub.
Pakistan last played an ODI series in November last year when they hosted Sri Lanka and won 3-0.
The series marked captain Shaheen Shah Afridi’s second ODI assignment, his first in charge coming in the home series against South Africa, which Pakistan won 2–1.
Historically, Pakistan and Bangladesh have faced each other in 39 ODIs. In this, Green Shirts have won 34 times and Bengal Tigers five times.
