Sylhet: Abdul Ghaffar Saqlain’s four wickets combined with Tanzid Hasan’s half-century helped leaders Rajshahi Warriors to a comprehensive 7-wicket victory over Dhaka Capitals.

Electing to bat first, the Capitals’ batting line-up managed to score 131 runs before being bowled out in 20 overs.

Usman struggled for the Capitals and top scored with 41 off 27 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Middle-order batsman Naseer Hossain was the other notable scorer for the Capitals with 24 off 27 balls.

Chakline led the Warriors’ bowling with four wickets for just 24 runs in his four overs, while Ripon Mondol took three wickets with a hat-trick off the last three balls of the innings.

Chasing 132, the Warriors easily hit the winning runs thanks to Hasan’s half-century with 3 wickets and 23 balls to spare.

The left-handed opener scored a 43-ball 76 with seven fours and five sixes and was adjudged man of the match.

On the other hand, his opening partner Muhammad Wasim contributed brilliantly with 22 off 13 balls with 2 fours and a six.

For the Capitals, Imad Wasim, Saif Hasan and Naseer can take one wicket each.

Rajshahi Warriors’ seven-wicket win confirmed the top spot in the BPL table as they now have 12 points from eight matches, while Dhaka Capitals are fifth with four points from as many games.
