Sylhet: Brilliant performances from Khushdil Shah and Akif Javed went in vain as Rajshahi Warriors defeated Rangpur Riders in the 21st match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Batting first, Rangpur Riders amassed an unbeaten 97 off 56 balls, including 8 fours and 6 sixes, to score 178-4 in 20 overs led by opener Dawhid Hiridoi.

Khushtil Shah scored 44 off 29 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes.

Sandeep Lamichane, James Neesham, Ripon Mondol and Dansim Hasan Saqib took one wicket each for Warriors.

In reply, Rajshahi Warriors chased down the target easily with the loss of just three wickets in the final delivery of the 20th over, thanks to outstanding performances from Muhammad Wasim and captain Najmul Hossain Shando.

Wasim remained unbeaten on 87 off 59 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes while Santo scored 76 off 42 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes.

For Rangpur Riders, Akif Javed took two wickets for 43 runs in four overs, while Mustafizur Rahman also claimed a wicket.
