
The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday announced the schedule for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Global Qualifier to be held in Nepal from January 14 to February 1, 2026.
Ten teams will compete for the remaining four spots at the World Cup in England and Wales in June and July.
The qualifiers will be held across Kathmandu, with matches scheduled at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground and Mulbani Cricket Ground (Upper and Lower).
A packed opening day kicks off on Wednesday 14th January with plenty of competition.
The morning session sees Bangladesh take on the Netherlands, Zimbabwe take on Papua New Guinea and Nepal take on Ireland.
The afternoon games include Namibia vs Thailand and USA vs Scotland. The morning matches will start at 9 am local time and the afternoon matches will start at 1 pm local time.
Ten teams are divided into two groups of five. Group A includes Bangladesh, Ireland, Namibia, Papua New Guinea and the United States, while Group B includes Nepal, Netherlands, Scotland, Thailand and Zimbabwe.
The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super 6, where they will play in a round-robin format. The top four teams from the Super 6 stage will secure their place in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
