Sylhet: Khushdil Shah’s brilliant all-round performance led Rangpur Riders to a five-run win over Dhaka Capitals in the 12th match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2025-26 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Batting first, the Raiders posted 155-5 in 20 overs, Mahmudullah’s crucial 51 off 41 balls with 7 fours.

Khushtil Shah scored 38 runs off 21 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes while David Malan scored 33 runs off 33 balls including 3 fours and a six.

Ziaur Rahman led the bowling for the Raiders with 2 for 35 in four overs, while Imad Wasim, Taskin Ahmed and Mohammad Saibuddin claimed a wicket each.

In reply, the Capitals were restricted to 150-4, falling despite captain Mohammed Mithun’s unbeaten 56 off 38 balls with six fours and a six.

Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 31 runs off 22 balls with 5 fours and a six, while Abdullah Al Mamun scored 22 runs.

Rangpur’s bowling attack was outstanding with Kyle Meyers, Al Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, and Khushdil Shah taking one wicket each.

With the win, Rangpur Raiders moved to second place in the BPL points table with three wins and one loss from four games, amassing six points and a net run-rate of 0.728.
