Guyana: Gudagesh Moti produced a match-winning spell as Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated Lahore Qalandars by 53 runs in the sixth match of the Global Super League (GSL) 2026 at the Providence Stadium on Monday.
Asked to bat first, the Warriors posted 164-9 in their allotted 20 overs, largely thanks to a blistering half-century from opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz and valuable contributions from Mohammad Harris and Romario Shepherd.
Gurbaz scored a fluent 65 off 35 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes. Harris scored 34 runs off 28 balls including four fours and a six, while Shepherd provided the late impetus with a 29 off 19 balls with a four and two sixes.
The rest of the batting line-up struggled to make an impact. Quentin Sampson fell for one run, Shimron Hetmyer scored 8 runs, Rowman Powell was dismissed for no runs, Mohammad Nabi scored 2 runs, Moti added 6 runs and Dwayne Pretorius scored 5 runs.
For Lahore Qalandars, Mehran Mumtaz and Michael Bracewell took 2 wickets each, while Mohammad Imran, Usama Mir and Delano Potjiter took one each.
In reply, Lahore Qalandars were bowled out for 111 in 17.2 overs as the striking left-arm spinner tore through the batting line-up with a terrific spell.
Farhan Yousuf top scored with 28 off 19 balls with a four and 2 sixes. Abdullah Shafiq and Pervez Hossain Emon scored 21 runs each, but no other batsman could offer meaningful resistance as the Qalandars suffered a comprehensive defeat.
Moti was the standout performer with figures of 4/27 from his four overs.
Dwayne Pretorius took 2 wickets and Matthew Forte, Romario Shepherd, Imran Tahir and Mohammad Nabi took one each to complete the emphatic win.
