LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday released the squads and match schedule for the National Champions Trophy to be held from August 11 to 18 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

The seven-match 50-over List A tournament will mark the start of Pakistan’s 2026-27 domestic cricket season, with all matches played as day-night encounters. Each match will start at 3pm local time.

The tournament will see four teams Pakistan Greens, Pakistan Whites, Pakistan Blues and Pakistan Gold competing in a single round-robin format. The top two teams at the end of the league round will qualify for the final on August 18.

The National Selection Committee has named fixed playing XIs for each team with a reserve squad of 13 players.

Teams must field an announced eleven players throughout the tournament, reserves are only eligible to replace injured or concussed players. Reserves will remain with their respective teams during training sessions and match days.

The tournament will be led by four main captains, with Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shatab Khan, Saim Ayub and Sahibzada Farhan leading their respective teams.

According to the PCB, a 44-man squad and reserve team have been selected as part of Pakistan’s preparations for the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, with the domestic competition expected to play a key role in identifying and evaluating talent ahead of the global event.
