Dubai: Pakistan star batsman Babar Azam is among the multi-national players in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Rankings, with the recent ODI series between West Indies and New Zealand raising the standard of Pakistan players.
In the ODI batsmen’s rankings, Babur moved up one place from seventh to sixth with 689 rating points. Salman Ali Agha also jumped two spots from 18th to 16th with 630 points.
Former captain and wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan moved to 31st position with 560 points and left-arm opener Faqar Zaman moved from 36th position to 37th position with 544 points. Saim Ayub remained unchanged at 44th.
Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand continues to top the ODI batting rankings with 802 rating points. Indian captain Shubman Gill was second and veteran batsman Virat Kohli was third.
In the ODI bowlers rankings, Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi moved up from ninth to seventh with 604 rating points. Haris Raoob moved up two places to 20th place with 556 points.
Naseem Shah slipped 2 spots to 49th with 477 points, while Mohammad Wasim Jr moved up from 71st to 70th with 432 points. Spinner Mohammad Nawaz retained the 80th position with 407 points.
Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan continued to top the ODI bowling rankings, while Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed kept the pressure on the Afghanistan star at number two. England fast bowler Jofra Archer moved up to third place, replacing South African spinner Keshav Maharaj in the top three.
