LAHORE: Pakistan Women’s T20 series against Sri Lanka has been shifted from Hambantota to Dambulla, while the tour schedule remains unchanged.
As per the revised itinerary, the three-match T20I series will now be held at Dambulla instead of Hambantota, which was originally scheduled to host both the ODI and T20I legs of the tour.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have not made any changes to the tour dates, only the venue for the T20I series has been revised.
Three T20 matches will be played in Dambulla on July 31, August 2 and August 4.
The ODI series, which is part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29, will continue at Hambantota on July 23, 25 and 28 as originally scheduled.
Pakistan are currently second in the championship table with eight points after winning four out of six matches. New Zealand are top with 13 points, although they have played three matches ahead of Pakistan.
Following the ODI series, focus will turn to the T20I in Tambulla.
Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka are currently participating in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England.
The two teams have faced each other 21 times in women’s T20 matches. Pakistan have a slight edge with 11 wins, while Sri Lanka have won nine matches, with one match drawing no results.
In Women’s ODIs, Sri Lanka have enjoyed more success, winning 22 out of 34 encounters. Pakistan have registered 11 wins, with one match ending in a draw.
