Dubai: Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi chaired a special meeting at the ACC headquarters in Dubai, bringing together key officials to discuss strategic initiatives for cricket development across the region.

During the session, the officials thanked the ACC for the excellent arrangements for the Asia Cup Under-19 tournament.

“The entire ACC team deserves congratulations for a successful Asia Cup,” said Mohsin Naqvi.

The meeting also approved ACC’s plan to establish state-of-the-art high performance centers aimed at promoting cricket across Asia.

These state-of-the-art cricket resources will be prioritized for countries in the region that do not currently have such facilities.

“The scope of ACC’s High Performance Centers will be gradually expanded,” he added.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Aminul Islam, Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) President Mirwaiz Ashraf, Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) General Secretary Mubashir Usmani, ACC Executive Dost Perera and other senior officials were present.

The boys in green beat arch-rivals India to clinch the title in the final at the ICC Academy on Sunday.

The national team produced a dominant all-round display, bowling India out for 156 in 26.2 overs while chasing a mammoth target of 348 to record a 191-run win.
