KARACHI: Rawail Farhan’s unbeaten half-century and Mahnoor Jeb’s three wickets helped Pakistan to a 47-run win over South Africa in the second match of the five-match Women’s Under-19 T20 series at the National Bank Stadium on Friday.

The right-handed opener led Pakistan U19’s batting charge as he carried his bat throughout and scored a 64-ball 68, returning unbeaten with nine fours and two sixes, which earned him the man of the match award.
Rawil shared a 63-run partnership with fellow opener Komal Khan, who contributed 23 runs off 24 balls with the help of 3 fours and a six.
Apart from the openers, top-order batsman Jupishan Ayyas made a significant contribution with 11 off 12 balls.
For the South Africa U19 side, Riabetswe Didube, Mia Lawler and Ashley van Wyk could claim a wicket each.
Chasing a target of 126, the tourists’ batting unit stumbled and were bowled out for 78 in 17.1 overs.
Deirdre van Rensburg remained the top scorer for the Proteas with a cautious 20 off 24 balls, while captain van Voorst (16) and all-rounder van Wyk (13) were the other players to score double figures against a ruthless Pakistan U19 bowling attack.
He was supported by Maham Nasqat and Mah Noor with two wickets each, while Shahr Bano was caught with a scalp.
A 47-run win helped Pakistan U19 level the five-match series 1-1 as South Africa U19 won their opening match by four wickets on Tuesday. The third match of the series will be played at the same venue on Sunday.
