
Colombo: Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on Friday announced the 15-man squad for the three-match home ODI series against Pakistan in Hambantota from July 23 to 28.
The island nation toured Bangladesh for the three-match series in April this year and have made several changes to their squad, with Kaushini Nutyangana, Bhumi Vatsala, Malki Madara, Sukanthika Kumari and Nimesha Madhushani ruled out for the upcoming home match against Pakistan.
Vishmi Gunaratne, Anushka Sanjeevani as SLC reduced its squad to 15 members. Nimasha Meepage and Rashmika Sevwandi came in to replace the five dismissed players.
There are no changes to the rest of the Sri Lankan side and will continue to be led by experienced top-order batsman Samari Atapattu.
The three matches of the upcoming series between Sri Lanka and Pakistan will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota on July 23, 25 and 28 respectively and will mark the first international match for both sides since the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales.
Also, the upcoming series is part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-2029 cycle. Pakistan are second in the table with eight points from six matches, followed by third-placed Sri Lanka, who boast the same record but have a relatively lower net run rate.
