LONDON: Hosts England have included fast bowler Brayden Garse for the remaining two One-Day Internationals (ODIs) against India, marking his comeback from wrist and elbow injuries.

The 30-year-old was recently recalled after months on the sidelines with injury after making three appearances for Durham in the recent T20 Blast.

Kars missed this year’s Indian Premier League after suffering a blow to his right hand during a training session, although the exact nature of the injury has never been disclosed.

He recently appeared in the New Year’s Ashes Test in Sydney, while his last ODI outing was against New Zealand in November 2025. In 30 ODIs, the seamer has taken 34 wickets at an average of 40.44.

Apart from the 50-over format, the bowling all-rounder has played 14 Tests and has taken 58 wickets at an economy rate of 3.89. He has played 14 T20 Internationals and taken 20 wickets.

England will complete the three-match ODI series against India with the final two matches at Cardiff on July 16 and Lord’s on July 19.

The squad also includes returning pace duo Gus Atkinson and Saqib Mahmood, while Jacob Bethel is expected to open the batting alongside Ben Duckett as England continue to shape their long-term plans in form.
