Dubai: Pakistan pacers dismantled India’s batting unit after Samir Minhas’ mammoth 172 in a blockbuster final at the ICC Academy on Sunday to clinch the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 title.

Chasing a tough target of 348 runs, the Indian team was bowled out for 156 runs in 26.2 overs.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi had an opening partnership of 32 with skipper Ayush Madre before falling to Ali Raza in the fourth over.

Mohammad Syam gave Pakistan another win by dismissing top-order batsman Aaron George (16), who scored a match-winning half-century against the Green Shirts in last Sunday’s group-stage clash.

Ali Raza put Pakistan in full control with the first delivery of the next over as he edged Suryavanshi to reduce India to 49/3.

The left-handed opener scored 26 off 10 balls with a four and 3 sixes and scored a remarkable run for India.

As the Pakistan bowlers struck at regular intervals, Deepesh Devendran’s blitz was at the back, but his dismissal proved decisive until India were booked for a paltry score in the end.

The No.10 was India’s top scorer with a 16-ball 36 with 6 fours and 2 sixes.

Ali Raza, who bowled well for Pakistan, took 4 wickets for 42 runs in his 6.2 overs, while Abdul Subhan, Mohammad Syam and Husaifa Ahsan took 2 wickets each.

Indian skipper Ayush Madre’s decision to field first, aided by Sameer Minhas, saw Pakistan amass 347/8 in their 50 overs.

The Green Shirts got their innings off to a good start as their opening pair of Minhas and Hamza Zahoor (18) added 31 runs before Henil Patel fell victim in the fourth over.

Following an early setback, Usman Khan joined Minhas in the middle and the duo put on a blistering 92-run partnership for the second wicket off 79 balls to lead Pakistan to a commanding position.

The platform setting reached its climax in the 17th over when Kilan Patel caught Usman Khan at long-on. The left-handed batsman contributed 35 runs off 45 balls with 3 fours and a six.

Minhas put on another crucial partnership for Pakistan, putting on 137 runs for the third wicket, a 73-ball 56 he scored with three fours and a six.

The right-handed opener shared a 42-run partnership with skipper Farhan Yousuf until he was dismissed by Deepesh Devendran on the final delivery of the 43rd over.

He was Pakistan’s top scorer with 172 off 113 balls with 17 fours and 9 sixes.

His dismissal sparked a collapse that saw Pakistan lose four wickets in quick succession, including skipper Yusuf (19), as the result collapsed to 327/8 in 46.4 overs.

Following the collapse, Mohammad Syam and Niqab Shafiq added valuable runs at the back, not out on 13 and 12 respectively.

For India, Deepesh Devendran bagged three wickets but came at a price as he conceded 83 runs in his 10 overs, followed by Henil Patel and Kilan Patel with two each, while Kanishk Chauhan could pick up a wicket.
