India’s white-ball tour to Bangladesh seems to be back on track after the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) invited bids for television and digital media rights covering its domestic internationals for 2026 and 2027.
According to media reports, the latest development indicates that the long-delayed series may finally take place after being postponed last year due to the diplomatic situation between the two neighbours.
The BCB has reportedly issued a tender for the sale of broadcast and digital media rights for its domestic international matches across the 2026 and 2027 calendar. The tender documents specifically mention India’s white ball tour of Bangladesh.
However, neither the PCB nor the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have officially commented on the reported development or confirmed that the tour will go ahead.
India’s visit is expected to feature a six-match white-ball series with three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three T2020 Internationals (T20Is).
Earlier this year, the BCCI confirmed that India’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh, scheduled for 2025, has been postponed to September 2026.
According to the board, the six-match series was postponed following mutual consultation between BCCI and PCB, citing international cricket commitments and scheduling convenience.
The series was originally scheduled to take place in the second half of August, with three ODIs scheduled on August 17, 20 and 23 and a T20I on August 26, 29 and 31.
For the uninitiated, Mirpur and Chattogram are set to host all the six matches.
