Mirpur: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday announced the 15-man squad for the three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo from July 15 to 19.

For the away series against Zimbabwe, the visitors will be without three first-choice players, including captain Liton Das, along with experienced pacers Taskin Ahmed and Hasan Mahmood, who have been given a no-holds-barred certificate (NOC) by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (PCB).

In Das’s absence, top-order batsman Dawhit Hiridoi will lead Bangladesh for the T20I series against Zimbabwe, as the second captain.

Notably, Hridoi also captained Bangladesh in their home T20I series against Australia last month, while Das missed out due to a calf injury.

Apart from the absence of three first-choice players due to LPL commitments, Bangladesh left out Shamim Hossain, while Mohammad Saifuddin, Yasir Ali and Mosadeq Hossain were new entrants.

The T20I series will begin on July 15, with the first match scheduled to be played at the Queen’s Sports Club in Bulawayo, which will host the remaining two matches on July 17 and July 19 respectively.

However, ahead of the T20I, Zimbabwe and Bangladesh will play a three-match ODI series, scheduled to be played from July 6 to 11 in Harare.
