Mumbai: India veteran Virat Kohli is set to return to the 50-over format for the upcoming England tour with his final inclusion subject to BCCI’s fitness clearance after being ruled out of the Afghanistan series due to a hamstring injury.

KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan have been named as wicket-keeping options in the team.

India’s spin will be led by Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Washington Sundar, while Jasprit Bumrah will lead the pace work.

The fast bowlers include Arshdeep Singh, Prashit Krishna, Harshit Rana and Kurnoor Brar.

Nitish Kumar Reddy retained his spot as a seam-bowling all-rounder.

India have also announced a revamped squad for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland, with Varun Chakraborty ruled out as he continues his rehabilitation at the BCCI Center of Excellence following a left leg injury sustained during IPL 2026.

Notably, the Blue Shirts will travel for a short tour of Ireland for a two-match T20I series in Belfast on June 26 and 28.

After the Ireland assignment, India will face England in a five-match T20I series from July 1-11, before moving on to a three-match ODI series from July 14-19.
