
Chattogram: Australia beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets to whitewash the series 3-0 in the third and final T20I at the Pir Shreshto Flight Lt. Mathiur Rahman Stadium on Sunday.
Chasing 110 for just 3 wickets in 11 overs, Australia were easily over the target as skipper Mitchell Marsh scored 60 runs off 28 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes for his team in a struggling innings.
Josh Inglis scored 17 off 16 balls with 2 fours while Cooper Connolly scored 15 off 13 balls including 2 fours.
Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed and Shoribul Islam took one wicket each for the Indian team.
Batting first, Bangladesh were restricted to 109-8 in the allotted 20 overs despite skipper Dawhid Hirido’s half-century.
Hridoi scored 61 runs off 51 balls including 3 fours and 3 sixes while Rishad Hossain scored 16 runs off 14 balls with a four and a six.
Apart from them, no other Bangladeshi batsman reached double figures as openers Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hasan took 5 and one runs respectively in the match here.
Pervez Hossain Eman scored one run and Nurul Hasan scored six runs. Shamim Hossain and Nasum Ahmed were dug out and Shoribul Islam added 7 runs.
Adam Zamba, Nathan Ellis and Spencer Johnson took two wickets each and Nikhil Chaudhary took one wicket for Australia.
