
Dambulla: India A beat Sri Lanka A by 66 runs in the final of the tri-series ODI at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Sunday.
Chasing a tough target of 378, Sri Lanka A were bowled out for 311 in 47.1 overs thanks to superb half-centuries from Vanuja Sahan and Satira Samarawickrama.
Sahan top-scored with 62 off 69 balls with 5 fours while Samarawickrama scored 52 off 44 balls with 9 fours. Vijayakanth Vyaskanth added 39 runs off 34 balls including 5 fours while captain Sahan Arachike scored 38 runs off 40 balls with 4 fours and a six.
Niroshan Dickwella scored 25 off 17 balls with 4 fours and a six while Nuwanidu Fernando scored 21 off 21 balls. Mohammad Shiraz added 21 runs and Tulaj Samuditha added 15 runs.
For India A, Yash Thakur and Vibraj Nigam took 3 wickets each and Anukul Roy took 2 wickets. Tilak Verma and Ashok Sharma took one wicket each.
Earlier, India A, batting first, scored 377 for 9 in 50 overs thanks to a sensational innings by Vaibhav Suriyavanshi and key contributions from Rudraj Gaekwad, skipper Thilak Verma and Anukul Roy.
Suryavanshi scored a top score of 94 off 29 balls with 10 fours and 8 sixes. Verma scored 67 runs off 90 balls including 4 fours and a six while Priyansh Arya scored 39 runs off 29 balls with 6 fours and a six.
Gaekwad scored 40 runs off 51 balls with 2 fours and a six, while wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra added 36 runs off 39 balls with 3 fours and a six.
Vibraj Nigam scored 27 off 20 balls and Anukul Roy hit 39 off 15 balls with a four and 4 sixes.
Sri Lanka A team bowlers took 2 wickets each, Vanuja Sahan, Ravindu Fernando and Gukadus Madhulan took two wickets each and Tulaj Samuditha, Sahan Arachike and Mohamed Shiraz took one wicket each.
